Here in the Triangle, we are so lucky to be surrounded by hundreds of fabulous local business owners. In honor of International Women’s Day, I wanted to curate a list of the women in the bunch who are leading their industries and involved in our community. Metamorphic Massage for Women

Location: 8384 Six Forks Rd #203 in North Raleigh

Meet Linda Zukowski:

“Metamorphic Massage for Women has been around since 2005, and I am proud to be one of the first women in the U.S. to have a massage practice focusing solely on the health and well-being of women! My business specializes in services for the childbearing years, we offer massage for women of all ages and stage of life,  and currently are serving women from ages 11-86.  I am one of the few therapists in the area providing breast health services.  I also offer belly-casting for pregnant women, a service which is not easy to find in the Triangle.

Last year, I founded the North Raleigh Well Nest, a small wellness center, where we are beginning to offer classes  and workshops.  In the lobby, you will find the artwork of different women from the Triangle area on display, with 100% of sales going directly to the artists.  Our small retail area is also full of products made by local women!”

Meet Amanda:

“My team and I aren’t the typical run of the mill insurance agents, we think of ourselves as risk advisors. We are a little different as we help people manage their everyday risks. I love using natural lighting whenever I can. Since I do not have a studio I am a mobile photographer.

Flagship Fertility

Meet Tara:


I am a Fertility Educator and Birth Doula based out of Wake Forest. I provide in-person and online classes for women and couples wanting to learn more about fertility. With my assistance, my clients use this information to optimize their chances of conceiving, or to avoid pregnancy. I am privileged to be a part of SymptoPro, an NFP organization with over 40 years of research behind it and a documented 90-99% efficacy rate for avoiding pregnancy. As a birth doula, I take the education one step further and walk with expectant parents throughout their pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum time providing evidence based information, physical assistance during labor and delivery, encouragement and emotional support, as well as practical help in the early postpartum time.

As a North Carolina native, I have deep ties to the local community and health practitioners allowing me to provide comprehensive care to my clients and network with other professionals, including OBGYNs, midwives, chiropractors, nutritionists, etc.

My favorite thing to work with a couple from pre-conception counseling, through pregnancy and birth, and on into the postpartum phase providing all the information they need to make educated decisions on what is best for their family, their birth, their child. I do not push any agenda. Doulas are not only for women who want a natural, drug free birth at home. My clients are a diverse group with a myriad of reproductive experiences, goals, and outcomes. Personally, three of my four children were born via cesarean so I am well equipped to support clients during a surgical birth as well as unmedicated, “natural” births.

We are a shabby chic salon with a warm and inviting atmosphere for all to come in and be themselves. I also am a Raleigh native, and my salon is actually 5 minutes from the neighborhood I grew up in.
